Meet the Team

We believe that every employee's home life is important, not only to them, but to our business as a whole. We practice set work schedules every week that allow our employees to benefit with appropriate time off to spend with their families. We offer every Sunday off as well as holidays such as New Years, Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Our employees appreciate the time off they have off to attend worship services, build family values, and spend time with their friends and loved ones.

Although our employees have every Sunday off, we extend the freedom to our customers to shop with us whenever they please. As an online business, our shopping cart is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our friendly customer support is available Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays, central time.

Mark

Mark is our Sales Manager, and has been with the company for 20 years. He has been selling sewing machines since he was 20 years old. Mark is very experienced with sergers and computerized sewing machines, and he's also worked on sewing machine repair, which helps with troubleshooting problems. Mark likes to spend time with his wife and fantastic kids. He enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.

Alan

Alan is our Cabinet Sales Manager. He has been with us since 1994 and came to us with 20 years experience in the home furnishing industry. In his free time he enjoys singing, playing guitar, boating, jet skiing, wake boarding, and most of all just spending quality time with friends and family.

Stephen

Stephen has been with our company twenty-six years. He worked in our retail store for fourteen years and has worked in internet sales for the last thirteen years. His wife Kelly raises two male Siberian Huskies, whom she says are easier than girls. Stephen and Kelly have two grown daughters, one whom has hitch hiked across Thailand and works for a Studio , the other, a RN who is also in graduate school. Stephen enjoys reading science fiction, fantasy and mystery books.

Butch

Butch has been with our eBay sales department for five years and has 5 years previous ecommerce experience. He enjoys woodworking and family time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Cathy

Cathy is one of our amazing sales person that work at our Bryan location. She is an avid machine quilter and also loves to hand quilt. She is great at helping people select the correct sewing machine for the type of sewing they want to do. Cathy is married to a wonderful man that supports her sewing habit and they have 2 fantastic children that are both attending Texas A&M University.

Jonathan

Jonathan has been with the Sew Vac Team for over a year now and has become one of our top sales persons. He is very good at understanding the use and operation of new products as they become available and loves to show them to people. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Emily, reading books and shooting guns.

Doug

Doug is our General Manager. He began working in the sewing machine field as a teenager and now has twenty-five years of experience. He enjoys spending time with his children and building custom cars.

Amy

Amy is our Accounts and Payroll Manager. She has been with the company for 20 years and keeps the accounting end of the business firmly under control. She enjoys horseback riding, traveling abroad and spending time with her wonderful husband and two children.

Barbara

Barbara is the newest employee to join the Sew Vac Team. She brings a plethora of knowledge about sewing to us. She was the head of the Costume Shop for the Department of Performance Studies at Texas A&M University and the University of Iowa. Barbara’s hobbies are sewing (wouldn’t you know it) and playing with her 3 cats.

Dale

Dale is the President of Texas Sew Wares, Inc. He has been with the company 26 years and has an additional 22 years experience in the sewing machine field. Dale enjoys hunting and ranching.

Bryan

Bryan joined us in 2006 after moving back to his home state of Texas. He spent the previous 4 years at a Volkswagen restoration parts distributor in Los Angeles where started at the bottom and worked up to warehouse manager. He enjoys cnc machining, metal fabrication, woodworking and anything radio control.

Bill

Bill is our Sewing Machine Repair Technician. He has been with us for nineteen years. Bill likes reading, hunting and target shooting.

Frank

Frank has been with us for sixteen years. He is our Outside Sales Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Frank follows college sports and enjoys family get-togethers, camping and fishing.
